Established by a resolution of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland on April 25, 1925, it was intended to recognize the work of Polish citizens of various professions and was awarded on May 3. Ultimately, the medal did not live to see a parliamentary law and was awarded once in 1925. a total of 4675 medals were awarded.
