Rare and as a set a series not offered for years.
All bills in beautiful state of preservation.
A unique opportunity to acquire a complete set at one time.
Referring to individual banknotes:
- 1 zloty 1939 st.1 without any remarks. An additional asset is the excellent centricity of the printing, which is sometimes a problem with the lowest denominations (1 and 2 zloty) of the Emigration. Centricity combined with excellent technical state of preservation and beautiful presentation may translate into a high note in PMG.
- 2 zl 1939 st.1. Minimally off-center obverse; mechanically and technically without any comments. Perfect freshness, beautifully visible natural numerator rubbing from obverse to reverse.
- 5 zl 1939 st.2+. Deeper but light fracture of the upper left corner; otherwise state of preservation without the slightest remarks. Graphically one of the most beautiful banknotes of the emigration series depicting a Kurpian woman in a dugout canoe - according to folk tradition a headdress available only to maidens, as married women wore headscarves.
- 10 zloty 1939 st.1. Mechanically perfect state of preservation without even the slightest freshness or any calluses; on the reverse only a productive touch of black paint from the overprint "pattern" in the margin. The banknote is liked and appreciated because it is the only Polish banknote with a depiction of the panorama of Płock on the reverse. Beautiful art! All traits indicative of naturalness are superbly displayed, such as the rough texture of the paper, the clearly embossed numerator from obverse to reverse, as well as the piercing embossing of the MODEL print.
- 20 zl 1939 st.1/1-, single tiny overstamping in lower margin, below portrait; otherwise no comments. Excellent freshness and beautiful contrasting presentation. A beautiful banknote.
- 50 zl 1939 st.1/1-, slight rippling of the lower right corner; the result of inattentive grasping and probably at the production stage, as there is a small trace of green banknote ink at its top; a small, single corns below the portrait. Other than that, no comments. No sagging; excellent paper and print texture and visible embossing.
- 100 zl 1939 st.1/1-, tiny callus in right margin and slight deflection of very tip of upper right corner. Impressive freshness of this piece's presentation, and it's already a large banknote! Beautiful, very clear embossing of the MODEL prints; very deeply and strongly imprinted. An exquisite piece.
- 500 zloty 1939 st.1/1-. A denomination that almost always has problems with its state of preservation, due to its size. Sticking out from sets already in the collector's trade, it has acquired imperfections, and this piece is definitely above average in this regard. Being very discerning, one can see only a single and very slight callus on the upper margin orz a slight right lower corner. No imperfections in the field; the sharpness of the corners and the freshness of the presentation unqualified. Beautiful.
An excellent set. Probably one of the nicest preserved on the collector's market and the nicest we have had!
Recommended.
