The 10 silver ruble is a denomination virtually unavailable in commerce, regardless of vintage.
It is known at public auctions from only one piece (vintage 1844), listed twice: once in 1993 and again in 2012.
In the Lucow Collection it is present in the form of a piece, which, judging by the photo, already has very tired paper, discoloration and restored losses (presumably after conservation).
The present piece is attractive collectible. It has clearly trimmed edges, but the jam has snagged the print slightly, only in the lower margin. The remaining margins left with a reserve.
Paper preserved in very good condition. Stiff, with freshness, with good contrast printing.
Dry-glued, but with no other conservation treatment.
The most important thing, however, is that it is there at all. That you can buy it for the first time in over a decade! Thus becoming the owner of one of the few known pieces of this denomination.
