Original in a very nice period binding . Co-bound set of texts and plates (plates were sold separately; a common problem with this edition is the lack of original plates)
The first monographic study of the coins of the Polish Middle Ages. Written in a very clear and pleasant-to-read, even colorful language. Despite the fact that the work is nearly 200 years old, it is still largely up-to-date. A great asset of this pioneering work is that it is based on a detailed analysis of excavations, on the basis of which conclusions are drawn about the attribution and dating of coins. The years of research on Polish medieval minting since the publication of this first work by Kaźmirz Stronczynski show how accurate they were.
