Coins from the partition period are very rarely found in mint condition. Pieces struck with mirror stamps in the trade are practically unheard of.
Beautiful mirror visible on the obverse of the coin. Deep, vivid. Subdued on the obverse with a stronger patina. Uncirculated relief.
In the NGC censuses, only this one piece of the 1838 gold was graded PROOF (mirrored).
