The first two-coin five-dollar coin in mint condition!
A rarer coin, the minting of which was one of the consequences of the fall of the November Uprising. A tsarist decree of December 3, 1831 ordered that insurgent coins be taken out of circulation, and in order to "strengthen ties" between the Kingdom of Poland and the Russian Empire in the field of finance, the tsar ordered the minting of the first two-denomination, Polish-Russian coins.
A beautiful mint piece. Coin with intense background shine, adding a charming patina.
Very rare in this state of preservation.
We have only had 1 in mint condition so far, 3 years ago, but it was an inferior note.
