The first, and longest circulated, vintage of the Partition period two-dollar coins, in very nice condition. Natural, celadon patina, rare for these numismats.
The first type of the Partition period two-dollar coins, minted without a collar. A type that wore out faster in circulation, due to the lack of the characteristic raised rim.
Important for typological collections of coins of the period, as this is the only vintage of two-dollar coins on which this type of portrait of the tsar and eagle appears (changed as early as 1817).
