An extremely rare numismatic coin.
During the communist period, in addition to the State Mint, official collector coins were also minted by the Swiss mint Valcambi. This was a series dedicated to Pope John Paul II covering denominations from 100 to 10,000 zlotys. As Janusz Parchimowicz describes them: the National Bank of Poland confirms that they were minted in 1982 and 1985. The former were collector coins, and the 1985 coins were minted in minimum mintages as technological trials. Not realized in the form of collector coins.
And this is confirmed by their rarity today.
In the archives of Polish companies, as well as at world auctions, we find their individual quotations. But these are almost exclusively those minted with a mirror stamp. Here it is the type minted with the common stamp.
A beautiful mint numismat with a fine patina.
Complete with original box, certificate for the entire scheduled issue and US document.
