August III of Saxony, Leipzig, 1754 CE – RARE bust

NGC MS61
add Your note
Lot description
Grade: NGC MS61
Certificate: NGC 8590534-025
Reference: Kopicki 2111, Kahnt 687.e

A mint-condition coin with a natural mirror finish and beautiful detail.

Additionally, it is a rare variety that is difficult to obtain.

This is a bust described by Kahnt as “smaller, with a narrow shoulder width and an unshaded crown.”

The king’s face begins to resemble the “bulldog” type (it already has a characteristic, protruding chin), though it is significantly smaller.

The cloak features tassels and horizontal shading, fastened with an oval brooch.
