Lot description
Grade: XF
Reference: Kopicki 25 (R3), Stronczyński T.35

The first type of coins of Boleslaw Szczodry. His princely denarius, from the mint in Cracow, dated 1070-1076.

Very nice.

Coin well, evenly minted, with only a slight sucking of the metal on the obverse. Legible both the whole legend and, what is quite rare, a nice bust.

Variety with the letters "S" and "z" lying in the field.

The name of the ruler in illiterate writing (BOELZLAVS).

Silver, diameter 15.5 mm, weight 0.85 g.
