Excellent piece.
Mint fresh, and above all very well minted for the type.
The Cracow denarius of Casimir the Great is a coin minted on a large scale, unfortunately in a very sloppy manner. It is often encountered with strong deficiencies, with only single rim letters visible. Pieces that are well, evenly minted are hard to come by, especially pieces like this one with fully legible surround inscriptions.
Bust and eagle consistent with quarters of the last type (VII).
Obverse: the king's head wearing a crown, with long hair, in front. In the rim: REX o POLONIE +.
Reverse: crowned eagle in front, with head to left. In the rim: KAZIMIRVZ +.
Silver, diameter 12.5 x 11 mm, weight 0.23 g.
