A very rare type of Toruń Jagiellonian sherds.
According to Jaroslaw Dutkowski, it is an early type of them, minted after the image of the city gate of Toruń was changed to the royal coat of arms (double cross). Distinguished by not placing the shield on the side with the eagle (it is not inscribed in it). And with pieces as deeply struck as the present one, there is no doubt that it was not on the stamp.
The rarity of this type is well demonstrated in, among others, Corpus Nummorum Thorunensis, where out of more than 220 varieties of these sherds, only 11 are with the eagle not in the shield.
What is noteworthy, however, is that this variety is unlisted in the Torun monograph.
It is a variety with errors in the legends: the letter S in the mirror image in TORVNENS and errors on the obverse NASIMIR.... POLOII.
