A very rare numismatic coin.
Thaddeus Kosciuszko from the gold triptych!
Minted in an edition of only 13 pieces!
The so-called "triptych" is a prized collector series commemorating three important figures for Poland - Tadeusz Kosciuszko, Jozef Pilsudski and Frederic Chopin. It is one of the most famous pre-denomination issues. It was made at the Los Angeles mint and "put into circulation" by an order dated February 11, 1992. The most popular of the series are the so-called "small triptychs", much rarer are issues from the "large triptych". Gold coins are encountered only occasionally.
Beautiful mint condition, with only a spot of patina at 2 o'clock.
