The first of four denarii of Wladyslaw Herman from a specialized collection showing their variety of representations.
It is a rare, early type (according to Piotr Chabrzyk's research), and was minted in 1086, before Herman lost Kraków to Mieszko.
Distinguished by the quality of the stamp's workmanship - an unbarred portrait of the king, the letters A with a horizontal bar, and the crosses with expanded arms.
An attractive piece, in an even patina.
Silver, diameter 13.5 mm, weight 0.78 g.
