Striking broad gold coin of the time of Michal Korybut Wisniowiecki.
Donative (two-ducat) with a beautiful panorama of Toruń on the reverse. Made by the city to commemorate the oath made by Torun to King Michael.
Very nice state of preservation. Natural coin, with no signs of handling or damage. Wide, with a slight luster, and nicely struck for this often carelessly made type.
Signed on the sides of the city coat of arms (H-DL - Hans Dawid Lauer).
A typologically rare item in an attractive collectible state of preservation.
Gold, diameter 30-32 mm, weight 6.91 g.
Obverse: bust of the king in robe and laurel wreath, facing right. In the rim the titulature: MICHAEL D G REX POLO M D L RVS PR.
