A rare vintage five-dollar coin. Slightly circulated coin, but at the same time with a lot of natural, fresh, mint mirror preserved.
Attractive for this hard-to-find year.
Its rarity is due to the introduction of the much inferior in terms of bullion content, new type five-penny coins in 1932 and the withdrawal of Nike coins from circulation in subsequent years. The difference was about 40% (the Nike weighed 18 g, the Woman's Head weighed just 11 g, with the same silver sample). According to Jerzy Chalupski, "...after this issue was withdrawn from circulation, the Warsaw mint melted 22.8 million Nike five-zloty coins out of a total mintage of 26.7 million...".
