Here is one of the most beautiful coins of this auction!
A magnificent two-gold coin of King Poniatowski.
Undoubtedly, it is a fresh print of the stamp, even giving it a mirror-like appearance ( proof like effect). This is a fully mint coin, with sharp relief and patina.
You don't see numismats like this every day, especially when they belong to rare vintages.
This is the last of three mintages of the royal portrait without a ribbon in the hair, appearing on this denomination only between 1783 and 1785. It was minted in a noticeably lower mintage than the other two mintages - more than twice as small - making it the second lowest mintage among all mintages of King Stanislaw Augustus' two-dollar coins.
