Denarius minted by Sextus Pompey (son of Pompey the Great) after his victory over Salvidienus, associated with Pompey's proclamation as "son of Neptune."
Obverse: Head of Pompey the Great between a jug and a lituus, in the rim the legend MAG PIVS IMP ITER.
Reverse: Neptune standing left, wearing a mantle, holding an aplustre, with his foot on the prow of the ship, next to the brothers Anapias and Amphinomus, in segment PRAEF / CLAS ET ORAE / MARIT EX S C
