Lot description
Grade: VF-XF
Reference: Iger T.34.2.b (R4), Kopicki 3098 (R3)

King Sigismund's Trojaks minted at the Torun mint were coins minted in low mintages that naturally wore out their circulation. From 1530 they circulated not only in the Prussian lands, but also throughout the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland. Today all their mintages are among the difficult to obtain.

This is confirmed by our archive. We had this vintage on offer only 3 times, the last time in 2019.

The present piece is the most beautiful of them.

A new type of royal portrait, changed this year and minted for only two years - with the ruler in ornate armor and cap.

Variant with PRVSSIE in the obverse legend.
