This is the last silver half-penny in the history of the Republic. A buckle that closes more than 200 years of issuance of this denomination, including the period in which it was the main currency of our ancestors.
Being a very rare typological denomination of the time of Sigismund III Vasa. Minted only in this one year, only in this one mint - Bydgoszcz. In subsequent years it was not minted at all due to the progressive devaluation of the penny. It returned to Polish circulation only after more than 100 years, after the reforms of Stanislaw August, but already in the form of a copper coin.
