A very nice thaler, with lots of natural mint luster, with only mild surface corrosion in front of the portrait. Otherwise of mint freshness.
One of the nicest of this vintage that we had on offer.
According to the author of catalogs for the crown thalers of Sigismund III Vasa, Jan Dostych, the 1629 is the most interesting of all thaler vintages. It is characterized by great variety. The present one is the type with a king with a tubular orifice and a long sword crossing the sash.
A variant with the Half-Kosic coat of arms on the reverse, in a stylized shield.
Variant with POL... MAS / NO SVE, without the cross in the legend.
