In 1606, the Krakow mint makes an important change. It abandons stamping its coins on a rolling mill, returning to the traditional method of stamp minting. And it is from this second period of operation of this mint under Sigismund III that the present trojak comes from.
It is the type introduced this year, replacing the trojak with the letter K. With the date separated by the Lewart coat of arms in an oval shield.
Rare and very nicely preserved.
With beautiful luster and fine patina.
Royal portrait narrower, also known from Cracow pennies of this vintage.
