The most beautiful trojak with "fish" we have ever had.
An excellent piece of a very rare Olkusz trojak from the prized 1580 vintage.
The type with the distinctive Glaubicz coat of arms under the bust of the king, placed only for half a year in the entire history of our minting. This is the coat of arms of Jakub Rokossowski, who was appointed Grand Treasurer in the Crown on January 5, 1580 and held this duty until his death (July 13 of that year).
As the author of the monograph of the Crown mint in Olkusz points out, 1580 was a breakthrough year for its minting, during which there was a gradual formation of the final style of a whole series of coins. This can be perfectly seen precisely on trojaks, where the royal image, the presence of coats of arms, borders or denomination markings change. All of them belong today to rare or very rare coins.
A variety with a large king's head above the Glaubicz coat of arms, with a denomination marking (III), but without the king's family coat of arms.
A natural piece with beautiful detail and preserved mint surface luster.
An uncommon item in such beautiful condition.
