The minting of Ladislaus I is dominated by denarii whose obverse is a bust with the ruler's name in the rim, while the reverse is a building with three towers topped with crosses (in a plain border, with CRACOV+ in the rim). Deviations from this type occur only occasionally, and this piece is one of them.
A very rare type with a triple reverse obverse band (two corded ones with a row of pearls between them).
Bust of the king with long, pointed hair (a'la porcupine).
Piece from an outstanding medieval collection from our 10 auctions.
