An uncommon-format plaque dedicated to Jozef Pilsudski.
Minted in 1931, the plaque with the Marshal is one of the most common in the entire series. The mintage of its two basic dimensions amounted to more than 7,000 pieces, but they are the only ones that are popular. All other formats were made for individual, private orders and are found on the antiquarian market only occasionally.
In our history, we had this plaque in large format only once (23rd auction, sold for 18,000 zlotys), but it was of a different size. Such a one (30 x 17.5 cm) was not recorded, among others, by the author of"Placettes of the Mint in Warsaw" Jacek Strzałkowski.
