A beautifully preserved and very rare medal from the time of August III.
Commemorating the opening of the public Załuski Library in Warsaw in 1745.
Depicting the bust of Andrzej Załuski, bishop of Chelm and later of Cracow, and on the other side a beautifully decorated entrance to the library.
By Stockholm medalist Daniel Fehrmann (signature D.F. on the shoulder of the figure and on the reverse).
Very rare in the trade, especially in this state of preservation.
