A very rare medal from the time of Alexander I, commemorating the completion in 1823 of the Brest Road (begun in 1820). Here the "Brest" - with the image located at the Brest end of the Route.
Light rubbing and a dull patinated surface. Nice relief and good presentation of the medal.
Made at the Warsaw Mint.
Type with pedestal on obverse (on it the sentence AERE / PUBLICO / SILICE / STRATA).
