Excellent state of preservation and quality of minting, especially for this type.
A silver token commemorating the coronation of Stanislaw August Poniatowski in 1764. As Raczynski points out in his description:
"...minted in Torun, the token was scattered to the community on the third day after the coronation had already taken place, when the king in a very holy procession rode to the Holy Cross church of the missions and returned from there. For the treasurer of the crown showered these bullet coins with a generous hand on all sides...".
Silver, diameter 30 mm, weight 6.16 g.
Obverse: royal crown, in the rim: HANC IVSSIT FOMTNA MERERI *.

Reverse: inscription in 8 lines: STANISLAVS AVGVSTVS D[ei] G[ratia] REX POLONIAE, M[agnus] D[ux] L[ithuaniae] ELECTVS VNANIMI GENTIS VOTO VII SEPTEMB[ris] CORONATVS XXV NOVEMB[ris] ANNO MDCCLXIV VARSAVIAE.
Stanislaw August by God's grace King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania, elected by the voice of a unanimous people on September 7go, crowned on November 25go of the year 1764 in Warsaw.
