A very nice award medal from the Poniatowski era.

"For diligence," as its reverse tells us, is a medal founded by the king in 1767 for alumni of the Cadet Corps in Warsaw. Since 1786 it has been given to outstanding students throughout the country.

Obverse: crowned SAP monogram in a laurel wreath.

Reverse: inscription DILI-GEN-TIAE in an oak wreath.

Silver, diameter 27 mm, weight 7.19 g.
