Very nice, with medal mirror. On the reverse side engraving I III/IX.
A rare medal from the reign of Poniatowski.
Minted in memory of Maria Amalia Mniszech (wife of the crown court marshal) of the house of Brühl, after her death on April 30, 1772. A woman of merit, as evidenced by the motto on one side of the medal "NON MORITUR NAM FAMA EIVS IN AEVVM FLOREBIT - she does not die, for her fame will forever flourish".
The medal, as well as the figure more broadly described in the Cabinet of Polish Medals.
Silver, diameter 42.5 mm, weight 23.18 g.
