A very rare medal of the Scientific Society, founded by Prince Jozef Alexander Jablonowski.
As part of the society's activities, award medals were founded for the best works in their fields. One of these was history, for which the present piece is named, accompanied by the maxim "MONVMENTVM AVRO CARIVS AERE PERENNIVS"(a souvenir with a price of gold, durability surpassing copper) and the information PRAEMIVM HISTORIAE(History Award). Their minting was commissioned to the Gdansk Mint.
Gentle rubbing to the surface, but no deeper scratches. Overall surface condition excellent, no cuts or bumps and very sharp, beautiful relief. Underneath the light rubbing, the natural mint luster is also clearly preserved.
Signed KOE- on the bust.
Silver-plated bronze, diameter 53 mm, weight 48.83 g.
