A beautiful piece of one of the most sought-after coins of the People's Republic of Poland.

The so called "snowman" or Fisherman with the broad number 8 in the date. Type minted in a very low, unknown mintage that did not go into circulation.

Mint condition. Coin with deep, intense background mirror and beautiful detail. Appreciated with a high NGC MS64 grade.

The design of the five-cent coin with a Fisherman pulling a net with fish was one of the winners of the 1957 NBP competition for new communist coins. Its author was Jozef Goslawski.
