The most difficult to acquire in beautiful condition type of communist five-dollar coin.
1958 is the first Rybak vintage, minted in a relatively low mintage that went into circulation and wore out.
It was issued in two versions. The circulating version offered here features a narrow numeral eight in the date, reminiscent of the infinity symbol, and the one with a wide numeral. And while typologically the so-called "snowman" is the rarest, it is a coin found in uncirculated states of preservation. In the case of the narrow numeral, it is extremely difficult to find these beautiful states.
Excellent piece. Appreciated with the second highest NGC grade.
