“Neueröfnetes Groschen-Cabinet”is a classic, multi-volume work published in Leipzig in the mid-18th century. Its author was the German numismatist and historian Johann Friedrich Joachim.
This item is the original 8th issue of Volume 3 of this work, which is crucial to our numismatics as it covers groszy and grosz-like coins from the Kingdom of Poland and Prussia. As you will see in the beautiful copperplate engravings, however, the scope of the study is much broader than just groszy. It spans from the denarii of the Bolesławs to the time of Augustus II the Strong.
