Auction catalog of the collection of Bishop Jan Stupnicki of Przemyśl, Vienna 1896.
A beautiful collection that Fr. Stupnicki began to create as early as 1843 (according to Strzałkowski, in 1852 he already had 1865 coins and 257 medals).
The class of his collection, created over 50 years and sold in Vienna in 1896, is best evidenced by two plates with engravings of selected coins. They include, for example, a sample 1766 Merikofer thaler of Stanislaw August, a 1650 thaler of Jan II Casimir without the letters XP under the bust, and a 1682 crown ducat of Jan III.
A very rare catalog, published in German, but with a preface also in Polish. 49 pages.
A collection consisting only of Polish coins and medals. A total of 1472 items auctioned.
Preserved with a double board, without a result list.
Destroyed title page, otherwise in very good condition.
