A very rare "brakteat" denarius exemplifying a characteristic representation of a ruler ready to defend his territory.

Representation: bust in a pointed helmet in front of a pennant (?), facing right, above a gate flanked by two rings, between two towers.

Very nice.

Reign: Boleslaw the Pious or Boleslaw V the Shy.

Silver, diameter 16 mm, weight 0.17 g.
