A nice, natural thaler of King Ladislaus. Especially its reverse. No defects, in the patina of the former collection.
Issued during the period of Jacob Jacobson van Emden's administration of the mint in Bydgoszcz, with his initials (I.I.) on the sides of the coat of arms shield.
This is the first type of thalers of the second Vasa on the Polish throne - with a half-figure of the king, with a sword and royal apple, on the obverse - minted from the beginning of his reign.
Legendary variety PO... MAS / SVE. Coat of arms shield with two labrys (only on its sides).
Rare.
