The most beautiful 1788 thaler we have had on offer so far.
This vintage is one of the most common eight-gold thalers of King Stanislaw Augustus. But while it is readily available in circulating condition, it is very difficult to obtain in such beautiful condition.
Its availability is due to changes that have taken place in Polish minting. A new minting rate was introduced, lowering the proof in silver coins. We can see this change in the rim of the reverse, where in the case of thalers, instead of the former notation of "10 pieces of the Cologne mark," 10 7/16 thalers were already minted.
Type of one year. This is the last thaler with Efraim Brenna's initials, with the royal bust appearing in only two vintages (however, the next vintage, instead of the steward's initials, has the M.V. mint mark).
