A very nice American reaper. With the cherished, celadon patina characteristic of natural twos from the Philadelphia mint. Relief gently circulated, with a scratch on the eagle's chest. Other than that of beautiful presence.
Among all the mints minting silver two-zloty coins, the only one minted with reverse stamps, which did not escape the attention of the press of the time. The Kurier Warszawski wrote about them, among other things, as follows:"the eagle has apparently stood on its head out of disgust and irritation. It does not agree with the Polish woman so conceived...".
According to Christopher Kitzmann 's latest findings , this is an early type, struck with the same stamps as the trial pieces. Distinguished by the doubling of part of the letters and numeral of the reverse denomination. Described more extensively in the pages of the CoinageDrugRP blog .
