Denarius from a distinctive group of rare coins dating to the late reign of Boleslaw the Curly. Differing in minting technique from his early issues (minting much shallower, with the appearance of almost half-broccos).
Very attractive type art with a depiction of a schematic head on the obverse, with the prince's name in the rim (BOLEZLA).
Beautifully preserved, mint surface, with luster and light patina.
