A very nice, evenly struck piece.
A distinctive denarius of Boleslaw the Tall, the eldest son of Ladislaus the Exile, with the reverse referring to his father's issue.
Struck in Wroclaw, dated 1173-1190.
On the obverse, next to the figure of the bishop, one can see the letters VS, which used to be interpreted as Sanctus Adalbertus, and today, as Boris Paszkiewicz writes: "it would be an abbreviation of the name Vladizlaus."
